The 4th planet in the Sol System, known as Edom during the time of the Forerunner's, it was terraformed in 2080. Its weather conditions now resemble Earth

IO is home to a small colony despite being a volcanic moon.

IO Station is the space station responsible for detecting the Covenant fleet headed for Earth minutes before the First Battle of Earth.

Callisto is the third Jovian moon orbiting Jupiter. It has little civilian population to speak of, but is home to several UNSC Bases that can launch in an hour's notice.

Another Jovian moon, Europa is home to mostly civilians, with little in the way of military.

Ganymede is the largest Jovian moon and has been terraformed, however, it still maintains a harsh climate. It is well populated. It is also home to the Low/Zero Gravity Testing Facility where the MJOLNIR GEN-1 EVA armor was tested.

Minister is one of the few remaining active human colonies that is still unknown to the Covenant and un-damaged by 2552.

Ballast is a human-inhabited colony world, possibly in the Inner Colonies. During the Human-Covenant War, the Battle of Ballast is rumored to be a battle in which the UNSC Defense Force defeated the Covenant in the later years of the war. The colony was apparently still intact during the Battle of Earth, as evidenced by active transports from the colony to the Quito Space Tether.

Draco III was once a human colony, but after the Covenant attacked in 2545 and massacred its population, its population is in all sense of the word, uninhabited. It remains in UNSC Space only because the Spartan-II's obliterated the occupying Covenant force after witnessing the massacre of the colonies inhabitants.

Installation 03, also known as Eta Halo, is one of the seven rings in the Halo Array. It was originally part of a smaller array of six Halos with a diameter of 10,000 kilometers, as opposed to the 12 larger, 30,000-kilometer-wide Halo installations. Its monitor is 03-049 Abject Testament. It appears to have a red and cracked surface, indicating the presence of vast deserts, as well as what appears to be volcanic activity, the latter of which exists through clearly artificial means. The Office of Naval Intelligence discovered the installation's location some time after the Human-Covenant War had ended. Subsequently, the top-secret research station Ivanoff was built in the Halo's orbit, presumably with 049 Abject Testament's permission. In March 2553, Catherine Halsey was indefinitely detained here by Admiral Margaret Parangosky, as retribution for lying to her about the creation and deployment of flash clones during the SPARTAN-II program's early phases. The MJOLNIR/Pioneer variant first saw field use during the initial ground exploration of Installation 03.

Installation 06, also known as Gamma Halo, is one of the seven rings that comprise the Halo Array. It was originally part of a smaller array of six Halo installations with a diameter of 10,000 kilometers, as opposed to the 12 larger, 30,000-kilometer-wide Halo rings. After the threat of the Halo Array was stopped at the Ark, the UNSC established research facilities on Gamma Halo.

At first glance, Te appears to be a gaseous planet, primarily composed of nitrogen, helium, and methane. However, it actually has a solid surface, which is blocked from orbital view by its thick clouds. It has a temperature range of -20 C to 95 C (-4F to 203F) and is a quite large, rocky planet. Te is surrounded by a debris ring that used to be a Forerunner Complex or Complexes. It is the homeworld of the Lekgolo worms, or Mgalekgolo as they are known in their armored form. They are called Hunters by Humans.

Balaho is a mostly-frozen planet with temperatures ranging from -33°C (-27.4 F) to 5°C (41°F) and two moons, Buwan and Padpad; the primary and secondary satellites, respectively.The terrestrial planet has significant amounts of methane in the atmosphere. It is the homeworld of the Unggoy, or Grunts as they are called by Humans.

Eayn is the home planet of the Kig-Yar, or Jackals/Skirmishers. The gravity is about 0.875 G's, making the inhabitants lighter on Eayn than on Earth. This is surprising, considering how swiftly Jackals can move on Earth. Eayn's atmosphere is composed of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide (Rather similar to Earth). It contains a surface temperature ranging from -18°C to 45°C (-0.4F to 113F). It could be presumed that the satellite is extremely similar to Earth.

From limited details available about Doisac, it can be estimated that its environment is very Earth-like, with forests and oceans. It has been noted, however, that its terrain is dominated by magma and magnetism, hinting at high tectonic activity and rich magnetized iron deposits likely caused by the lunar tidal effects projected by its three moons. It is possible that Doisac is closer to Oth Sonin than Earth is to Sol because its surface temperature/climate is slightly more tropical, ranging from -15 °C to 52 °C (5°F to 125.6°F). Alternatively, its atmosphere may cause a natural greenhouse effect, trapping heat and warming up the planet in a similar fashion to Venus. It is the homeworld of the Jiralhanae, or Brutes.

Tantalus is a planet in the Epsilon Eridani system. Its current status is unknown.

During the time of the Insurrection, Victoria was home to an Insurrectionist military camp, Camp New Hope. Contact with the planet and the Tauri system in general was lost during the Human-Covenant War. It is unknown what has become of the planet in the years since.

Installation 02, also known as Epsilon Halo, is one of the seven rings that comprise the Halo Array. It was originally part of a smaller array of six Halo installations with a diameter of 10,000 kilometers, as opposed to the 12 larger, 30,000-kilometer-wide Halos. The environment is water-based with rocky outcroppings and large ice floes.
